About the Artist
Dipali Deshpande is a UAE-based Indian visual artist. Her work combines contemporary expression with deep cultural symbolism. With exhibitions across India and the UAE, her canvases reflect personal evolution and collective memory.
"I paint to honour the silent poetry of fabric — the way a fold holds memory, the way silk whispers of celebration, and the way a sari carries the identity of a woman. My work is a conversation between past and present, between cultural heritage and contemporary expression. Every brushstroke is a thread, weaving together colour, texture, and story, until the canvas becomes cloth, and the cloth becomes emotion."
Through oil on canvas and immersive installations, I explore textile traditions, women’s narratives, and the timeless beauty of drapery. My aim is to preserve heritage while reimagining it for modern collectors and audiences worldwide.
